What will you do?

As Tech Lead Analytics Engineering at Sligro, you are at the heart of our data-driven decision making. We are on the verge of a major step in our digital strategy and you will be part of it from day one. You work daily alongside analytics and data engineers to transform raw data into reliable, meaningful insights. You combine deep analytical expertise with an inspiring role: you design, implement and optimise our analytics solutions within Google Cloud Platform. In doing so, you directly contribute to the digital transformation of Sligro Food Group. No theoretical story, but real impact on a large, growing platform.

What are your responsibilities?

You design and implement analytics solutions, data models and reporting pipelines within GCP. You manage and optimise our analytics layer, translating business questions into scalable data models using DBT and BigQuery. You work closely with stakeholders to understand their needs and deliver reliable, well-documented datasets and dashboards. You define and maintain data quality standards using tools like SODA and ensure data is trustworthy across the organisation. You automate analytics workflows to improve scalability and consistency. You support development and business teams with analytics-related questions and onboard new projects onto the platform. You solve complex data problems and stay up to date by actively following the latest developments in analytics engineering and Google Cloud.

What do you bring?

You have at least 6 years of experience as an analytics engineer, data engineer or BI engineer, preferably with specific experience in Google Cloud Platform. A certification such as Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer or a DBT certification is a great bonus. You are highly proficient in DBT and BigQuery and know how to build scalable, well-structured data models. You have a strong command of SQL and Python, and experience with data modelling techniques such as Data Vault or dimensional modelling. Tools like Looker, Dataflow, Fivetran, SODA and Datadog hold no secrets for you. You understand how to connect data to business value and communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. You feel right at home in a team where collaboration and data quality come first.
